Hi, It really is a shame that it has come to this. For me, the downloads available from UKTS have sustained an interest in MSTS that the original software could never have done, and I personally believe that £4.50 for a CD of quality such as Thames-Mersey, for example, is an absolute bargain - someone has to receive an order, produce a cd and then post it out - I really cannot understand the criticism being levelled at either UKTS or the price being charged. Returning to the main topic of the thread - unfortunately I can't produce models but I'm quite willing to help out if re-skins are required.

Would everyone who offered modelling help please look at the "Replacement of scenery items for Community CD's" thread I have just posted.

Once these are done, we can move onto rolling stock.

You get it at http://www.amabilis.com/downloads.htm . It is for free. But according to the table at http://www.amabilis.com/products.htm you cannot export to MSTS with that version, only with the Plus and Pro versions (which are not for free). However, there must be a solution. I guess you can always send your model in the native format to Paul or anybody else with the Plus or Pro version of the program and they export the model for you. You only need this step once when you are done.

I do not have either (yet?), so this is just a guess based on the webpage. If there is a simplier solution, please correct me.

Burton Derby is a freeware route Michael, its the class 15 pack that is donationware, and doesn't include anything other than ths class 15 from Chris and me, and some wagons from Ian MacMillan. Hope that clears things up a bit....
Cheers

Jim,

I have not recinded FDB stock from any package commercial or donationware, nor have l withdrawn the Mk1s from the new Mid East proposal or another donationware CD. They have been removed from the download library and for the present l ask users not to consider them for future packages whilst the current conditions are in place.

These are my last remaining tenuous olive branches towards UKTS, it is upto them to accept or decline that offer, a unspoken status quo has been reached and if it remains stable then there will be no problems.

I am under no illusion that my megre 14 models are of any stature to anyone, however removal from the file library was my vote for actions taken elsewhere. l'm suprised anyone even noticed they were gone.

You are of course free to remove the stock from the CDs and replace with alternatives, you do not have to back date that wish if you do not choose to do so.

Hope that explains it a little better.

Best

Michael

James thanks for your offer on 37610 etc. I have put your name against 37610 as a starter and look forward to adding your name against the other withdrawn 37s.

I have lists of other stock items withdrawn from steam locos to diesel which I have extracted from the original list Paul (Decapod) supplied me with. So if anyone else comes up with such offers I can put your name against it.

If avaliable, i think it will be good if we can give pictures of any of the files removed so it is easier for people to know what the object they are replacing looked like ( such as scenery, locos etc... )

I am definitely capable of helping replace scenery and maybe later some stock. Will give me a break from developing trainsets till TMTS appears.

Only question I have is the case of duplication is what to name the item, as many items will have the same name .. leading to confusion.

In order to focus discussion on Pauls newer thread about this subject I'm going to lock this one. If anyone feels I am in error in this action, drop me a note.
