Problems Downloading 90m Projection Data

The MSTS 1 Route Editor can be a beast to use, but it's capable of some amazing results, here you can talk with the wizards that are building some of the fantastic routes available and learn how to make your own.

Problems Downloading 90m Projection Data

Post by clay001 »

I've recently read Lucazone's excellent guide to terraforming, and having checked details on the relevant map decided to seek out files for North Devon. However when I clicked on the link for the SRTM FTP Server I received an error message telling me 'An error occured opening the folder on the FTP Server - Make Sure you have permission ro access the folder'.
I understood this data was availaible free and more importantly downloadable legally, does any one have any ideas on what the problem is?

Many thanks,

Clay.

I got the Australian DEM from ftp://e0srp01u.ecs.nasa.gov/srtm/

This lists two different sets, version 1 and version 2 but both appear to allow access OK.

I'm not arguing (just explaining why I'm right).
