I was in Southern Uniform, I'd finished work and drove very fast to Newhaven. You guys over took me on the A26 just as you arrived into Newhaven.

I did see someone on crutches. I think I saw Yorkie there, but BirminghamNewStreet was there.

Just seen me in this photo

Doh! I keep missing you. Or I can't recognise you :-? Sorry, would've said hi if I'd seen you!

Here's my photos:-

Image
An overview of the east end of Edinburgh Waverley station. A Voyager was departing at the time the shot was taken.

Image
Yes, Pendolinos do enter Edinburgh Waverley daily, I believe there is one such service a day.

Image
A Voyager terminates from the West Coast main line

Image
An Edinburgh Cross City service for Newcraighall departs from Waverley

Image
This Class 90 was possibly meant to haul the sleeper, which eventually left 10 mins late hauled by a '67'

Image
The Highlands sleeper was on time (or thereabouts) at Euston as it was able to overtake the failed sleeper in the Wolverton area.

ImageThe ex-Glasgow/Edinburgh sleeper arrived 122 mins late at 09:15 due to locomotive failure. 57312 rescued the train north of Wolverton.

Image
The fumes from 57312 caused flakey paint to fall onto the loco.

Image
The 'Sussex slammer' railtour at London Bridge. The VEP is seen here at the country end before a CIG was attached.

Image
The Sussex Slammer under the glass roof at Brighton

Image
The Sussex Slammer at Newhaven Marine. This station has only one train per day and does not appear in the public timetable.

Image
Tangmere had arrived at Victoria with VSOE coaches by the time we arrived, providing a photo opportunity

A great day! I got home at 22:05. I would have done the last trip to Brighton but sadly the last train north is at 20:15 on a Saturday!

I though it was:

* A Scotrail Service
* EWS Loco
* Virgin Driver
* Scotrail attendants / guard.

Yorkie, some gorgeous shots there, especially the one of Waverley. Just wondering what camera you use? Been thinking about buying a decent one for a while - especially something that's capable of shots in the dark.

Will they ever scrap this Slam Door rubbish?

Or, more to the point, will they ever stop advertising that every tour a slam door set does is the 'last Slam Door Stock run.' :wink:
