Ffestiniog Route CD ???

Post by fourletr »

Way back in June I ordered a CD from someone called Ian Butters. He acknowledged the order and said the disk had been mailed. After a month and nothing received I asked what was going on, he replied it must have got lost in the mail and he would send another. Now it is November and still nothing received !!!!!!!!

Someone has my money and I would dearly love to receive a CD. Mail to Canada from the Uk seldom takes more that a week, frequently less.

HELP!!!

I ordered the Ffestiniog CD and the loco CD as well. I received the Route CD within a week but the Loco CD did not arrive. I emailed and he told me it must have got lost in the post and that he would mail another one. So far it has not arrived however I believe he was on leave for a period. Perhaps he has been having email difficulties

As far as I am aware the locos are on the same disk as the route at least they were on the one I got several months ago.

The service is pretty awful, I believe that was the post office. Ian told me that he sent 4 to me at various points - I only got 1 (which was all I was meant to get!)

The Limited Edition locos by Kevin Martin are included on a separate CD which should have been posted to me twice so far

PM batroost, he is the route builder (a nice bloke he is too, having met him ;) ) and should probably be able to help you, though the CDs are due to be updated soon to the next version, which Colin (Batroost) is near to sending to Ian (known to FfR people as Disney) and he hopes that it should be available for D/L around Christmas or early into the new year, so maybe Disney will send you another copy once that is ready?

As I have said, send a PM to Colin Tucker (Batroost) and explain your situation, perhaps he can help you

Sorry, I totally dissagree, Dale. Not really fair or right to expect Colin to supply a disk that someone else has already recieved money for!! (I know because I have already done this a few times myself!)

I've looked at the ffestiniog website and found an email address for the Ffestiniog shop :-

shop@festrail.co.uk

Try writing to them, explaining your problems, what you have purchased and see if they can help you.

I'm sorry that you have had to wait for the disks, I do sympathise as I have been waiting for something for over 6 months now!

Cheers,
Kevin

I don't think the Route CDs are handled by John Wooden's shop - they're just done by Ian.

Sorry Kevin,

I meant to say that "fourletr" should PM Colin to see if Colin could help with tracking the CD and also I wanted to say that there will be an update soon so Ian may wait to repost any CDs as they'd be a bit pointless if the new version was out soon after.

Appologies if my other post seemed to be worded wrongly.

They are still being sold Kevin. When I received the Route CD the original reason for the locos not being posted at the same time was that they had to make up a new CD, which, it would appear, they have now done

Thanks Guys one and all. I have had an email from Ian and he is going to try sending a disk by a friend who is visiting the USA next week. Maybe the mail service will be better from there
