Skarloey Railway

Post by davvydo »

I know that whenever grown ups who channel hop and find thomas the tank engine on one of the kids channels, i was channel hopping one night and found this it was something on the skarloey railway, and thought what a good route it would make !

is there anyone making it , it would be good to have a route where funny stories happen, which takes out everyones frustration on when they overshoot the platforms and so on,

it would be a good break from the norm i would say !!! :D

The route I took those shots on is version 2, which can be bought from UKTS for £6.50. £2 goes to the Talyllyn itself. :)

I suggest buying a copy of Railway Adventure if you ever see one as well! Fantastic book, and you'll find most of the Skarloey Railway stories were based on incidents that happen in that book. :)

I agree with Pitley, if you can't wait to use the Skarloey Rly engines go and get yourself the Talyllyn Rly Route 8) It isn't *exactly* the same as the Skarloey Rly tie for tie and rail by rail, but it still is a superb NG route regardless :D

(I hope I get points for endorsing the product :P )

However, I do believe an old friend of mine was going to make the Skarloey Rly route (based on the TV Series and books) a while ago. But since that's probably been scrapped, you're best bet is the Talyllyn Rly route or even the Ffestiniog Rly route ;)

The Corris Railway is also available in the download library as well. The Mid Sodor Railway was based on that and a few other Narrow Gauge Railways as well!
