Small Line Repair Vehicle

I was recently visiting the Vale of Rheidol Railway in Wales, and i was taking pictures for potential modelling. When i got back i decided to start on something simple as i had never put a model into msts before.

I decided that a small diesel shunter i found near the shed would be nice. But when i got home i found it boring and too easy, then i noticed a peculiar looking engine beside it.

So far all i have done is the basic body, it still needs extra detailling, wheels, light and siren.

As i said i am new to this, so if you can give me any help/hints/tips etc it would be greatly appreciated.

What are you using to make your models in? - super start by the way :)

I'm really bad with textures, they never go on as i want them to (probably something i'm doing wrong).

But i've started on some anyway.

Remember MSTS uses textures that are 128x128, 256x256, 512x512 and 1024x1024 only. I'd personally keep the size of textures down :)

Before you go too far, I'd advise you to read the techdocs: if you've installed MSTS they should be copied to the /UTILS folder.

personally I'd go for 1024/1024 textures as there will be no pixalation, plus if you wish to photo texture it at a later date, it will look a 1000 times better.
