New Warbler locos (At last)

Post by Garthion »

Hi all,

After a short break, the repainters at Warbler Works have been slaving away, in the hot (very hot) paint show, following the overhaul of sister railway locomotives number 1 + 2 "Eagle Number 1" and "............" (Name hidden for security reasons at this time, to be revealed latter ;) )

the following is a selection of images taken by the official Warbler Photographer (me)

Eagle Number 2 the one with the hidden name, this loco still requires the Eagle linning, which will be applied over the next coupld of days, suggestions on names are greatfully welcomed ;)

Eagle Number 1, restored to original as built condition including its original name, livery is as seen, unlined BR Green with brass name and number plates on the sides and a BR style numberplate on the front :D This loco is passed for public haulage and it to be availible for traffic very soon ;)

These two loco are just the first Eagle locos to be restored, more are sure to be discovered languishing in the Eagle quarries when restoration of the railway reaches that point.

After receiving permission from the Eagle Railway company I can now show you a new view of Number 2, the name has been uncovered, but is still not fully visible, I would like people to guess what the Name is, and the reason behind the name :D

Start the Guessing NOW

Linning will commence shortly ;)

I did say it'd be cryptic, but if you watched the BAD WOLF episode, you'd have noticed that the Continuity announcement was totally WRONG the announcer calling the show Dr Woo :o instead of Dr Who!

anyhow

Bad Wolf in the Metal, with name plate and most of the linning done :D

One last shot of Bad Wolf, still in Shape Viewer before I edit the .eng file :) but all linning out is now done, the cab back sheet is NOT linned out but the rest of the loco is, I may polish both locos chimneys up a bit before they are uploaded as it looks a bit tarnished at the moment but here, folks is the last picture beofer upload :D

Hope you like, any comments are, as always, greatly welcommed
