There most probably will not be any additions to the freeware Scottish Central route. The route may appear as a commercial product, though not in the near future. Any news regarding Making Tracks products can be found on the Making Tracks website.
Regarding the zip problem. Search for topics on spanned zip files. You'll find all the answers from previous posts.

Got latest WinZip program, that solved the problem!
currently downloading second patch, but a little teeny weeny thing missing still is Dunfermline Town station, and where is Glenrothes With Thornton? But nevertheless, its fantastic!! Detail in Edinburgh is amazing, and I live there so i know most of it already. Nice to travel in the cab for a change!
Will there be any future upgrades to include other routes, eg. Dunblane, Bathgate, completed Glasgow via Shotts, and even expanding up to Aberdeen and the Highlands? If i had the routebuilding ability of George Stephenson id do it myself..but i dont. Cheers 4 the help everyone.

If you look about on the forums you will find yours truly is doing the Highland Mainline. As posted elsewhere it is looking unlikely Scottish Central will be expanded from its current state (which is a shame of course)jamiea2704 wrote:Got latest WinZip program, that solved the problem!currently downloading second patch, but a little teeny weeny thing missing still is Dunfermline Town station, and where is Glenrothes With Thornton? Once thats done it will be almost possible utilising all the other routes to drive the full legnth of the UK virtually.
Strange thing when you drive routes you know well. Mine is the Fife-Edinburgh route and it was train-sim that made me realise there was a change. When I first loaded Scottish Central I thought the bridge at Inverkeithing was in the wrong place. Then the next time I passed I took a look and realised that the bridge had been moved in real life. I never even noticed untill I saw it on tain sim.

SC Stage 1 is only heavily scenerised around the immediate vicinity of Edinburgh and the line out to Inverkething. The scenery goes a little bit more beyond that but then it turns into just trackwork and basic platforms. Hence Stage 1sirhiggins wrote:a question: i just downloaded the SC stage one; i've a succesful installation but when i explored the route, i realised that there is only the plain and rough terrain without trees, vegetation, and simple platforms etc, exept the main stations (Edinburgh etc), is this normal or i missed sg??
Stages 2 and 3 were originally planned to expand that detailed level of scenery out from Edinburgh to further afield, but unfortunately, as mentioned earlier in the thread, it seems unlikely that'll go ahead now, which is a shame.
Hope that answers your question somewhat.
