Could you give as much detail as possible on what you are trying to do when the error occurs and what any error message says.

Have a nosey at http://www.uktrainsim.com/index2.php?fo ... r=beginner , and the downloads readme as it sounds like you haven't installed it correctly.

If you deleted the loco, the consist will still be in the consists folder, have a look for anything to do with 37886 in your Trains\Consists folder and bin it ;)

You might also need to look in the services folder for a service using that loco and possibly also in the paths folder too. Just deleting the activity and consist isnt usually enough. But why not try installing the loco again. Make sure its installing to the right location and, after the install has finished check its actually there. If it isnt search for it as it must have been installed somewhere. If you find it copy it manually into your trainset folder with a folder name which matches what the activity is looking for (37_886 not 37886 or anything else).

Did you read the readme file with this download?
Ive just downloaded it and this is what it says :
INSTALLATION:

(1) Unzip all files into a temporary then move the new folder with all the files into your TRAINSET directory.
(2) Make a new consist in the Consist Editor or ConBuilder with the new wagons.
(3) The Loco can be found named: "*37886*" in the consist editors

Your 37886 Should now be available in the sim.
Did you do that? If you did you should have a folder in your trainset folder called 37_886 or 37886. The activity is looking for a folder 37_886 so if yours isnt called that then all you may need to do is rename it :)

Have you got an activity that uses 37886?If so even after deleting paths, services, consists etc you will still get this error message as the activity can't find the engine!
Hope this helps

As the others have said, somewhere you still have a reference to 37886.

Deleting an item of stock from the trainset folder will not remove all reference to it if a consist comes with it or if you've attempted to make or alter a consist.

If that consist is used in an activity, there will be an activity or service file in a route folder with a reference to it.

It may not be obvious from a file name but contained within the script.

Only by finding and removing or amending the reference to something MSTS can recognise and it being compatible with the rest of the consist will the problem disappear.

The alternative is a reinstall.

I've only had to re-install once in four years after a month or so when it was all new to me. That's not because I'm clever, it's simply that I'm too lazy and so err on the side of caution :)

And we've said it is contained within a file which is named something different :)

It would appear simpler to reinstall MSTS.
