It would appear the K2 is messing with MSTS's head, it works fine on my PC but Rick the eng file man cant even load it into AE, let alone the game, it lets you add it to a consist alright, even add stock behind, but theres simply no visual model.....quite bizzare.
Its only a reworked K3 so l cannot forsee where the problem is, what l would like are some more guinea pig testers to wring out the beta K2, theres no need to stampede as it'll be freeware but if you think you can help then sign up here and l'll send the FTP address or PM me, to preserve my measly web band width l'll not post the FTP here and limit to say 5-6 people.
Like l say it doesnt play up here but if it plays up on one PC then it'll sure as eggs are eggs do it elsewhere, it would be nice to upload it as a working concern.
Kindest regards
Michael

I have absolutely no problems with all of the following:mickoo wrote:It would appear the K2 is messing with MSTS's head, it works fine on my PC but Rick the eng file man cant even load it into AE, let alone the game, it lets you add it to a consist alright, even add stock behind, but theres simply no visual model.....quite bizzare.

1. Viewing loco and tender in Shape Viewer.
2. Creating a consist and activity for the loco in AE (visual OK).
3. Running the activity.
4. Running the loco in Explore mode.
5. Viewing with View 4 (or any other view).

David,
Thanks for that, it looks like it was a erronous boiler texture, it was there in the download but we think Ricks may have become corrupt somewhere, even though it opens in TGA editor the sim was having a spasm, took about 30 model rebuilds to eliminate and hone into the component that was casuing the problem.
MSTS continues to amaze me at it ineptitude !!, this sort of error should have generated at least a ace texture error ?.
Rick should hopefully have a set of eng files this evening then l can upload, thanks for every ones help....much appreciated.
Best regards
