electric lines map

Post by popol »

Is there a map of the lines which are electrified or not somewhere? I'd like to know which lines of the south west of england are electrified.

There are none in the SW, the nearest electrification comes to the SW is the 3rd rail to Weymouth, nearest overhead electrification to the SW is probably the WCML at the London end (possibly Birmingham might be a little nearer), or even the Paddington - Heathrow electrification.

The 'Rail Atlas' by K Baker (IIRC) has a map inside showing electrified lines, and the system of electrification

Somewhere on the Network Rail site there is [or was] a downloadable html map of the uk that could show different things like linespeed, route classification and electrification. I deleted it though as it was extraordinarily massive on the hard disk...

Edit - this seems to be a pdf version http://www.networkrail.co.uk/documents/ ... bility.pdf

I have an interactive thing from NR's website that helps me out on these matters.
