Buses for Bristol from my town

Post by FlyingRichman »

Hi. If you live in bristol and travel with first you might see a few old m and n reg Dennis Lance Plaxton Verdes arriving from my home town of Huddersfield. They should be:

60964-->M426VWW
60965-->M427VWW
60981-->N443ENW (Came to Huddersfield from Badgerline first)
60990-->N452JUG (Came to Huddersfield from First Leeds)
60991-->N453JUG (Came to Huddersfield from First Leeds)
60992-->N454JUG (Came to Huddersfield from First Leeds)
60993-->N455JUG (Came to Huddersfield from First Leeds)

BTW the buses made funny noises when the advert frames were put on the engine doors + they give a rough ride.

60964 and 60981 do not have advert frames at the rear.

Plaxton Verdes are probably one of the worst buses in the UK to travel on. Unattractive, and very claustrophobic. Especially the dual door versions.

I agree with you Adam. Plus I don't know about you but to the engine noises get on your nerves? they annoy me so much, but I like sitting at the back.

All depends on the engines. We have B10s here, nasty buses. The single door versions are terrible, especially on busy routes. I went on one in Cardiff, I think it was a Scania, and the vibration was horrendous. And a Dennis Lance which wasn't to bad, but it was Stagecoach spec.
