FfR Fifty Event, Who's Going?

Post by Garthion »

Hi all,

Its now less than a month until the biggest NG Event of the year the Ffestiniog Fifty event!
So who's going, and moreimportantly who's volunteering?

I'm going to be volunteering, and staying in Minffordd Hostel (already booked for both parts) though I don't know what I'll be doing yet I'll be over there from the 26th till the 1st of May, got to work Mon 2nd May :( but at least I'll be volunteering over part of the event :)
Anyone else going, or volunteering, if so maybe we could meet somewhere?
Hope to see some people at the EVENT (got it right this time  )
Diolch Yn Fawr,
Dale Williams.

I'll be there, working on the miniature railway in Minffordd Yard. I could do with extra helpers if you are still undecided over what you are doing.

So where and when are we all meeting up? ... Are there any advance timetables/ schedules? If so we could all meet up on a train somwehere (seems a good a place as any).

I suggest meet up is in Minffordd Yard, at the Maenofferen shed, at around 11am on Saturday. Ish. Thats where I'm going to be all weekend in all probability.....

As I live there....
We need a Jordy to do some commentary for Turtleffest (like Big Brother)!!! Turtle HEVAN.
Mary An will be working by a Thread. We have 2 Weekends to do it! (Going away next Weekend.)

The Merddin's next new bogie has the Wheels and inside motion in and the boiler was steamed last Monday.

As the Genral Manager said "You don't need to right a timetable." Just copy Easter when the Darj rescued The Talking Train and Prince double Headed with Moelwyn and The Tuesday when the Moelwyn headed Squecy Tal!

Indeed, was there and saw most of that... Prince and Moelwyn was a nice sight, funnily the only set we saw which didnt slip out of T-yB, the Darj at T-y-B was also caught on film, looks lovely and didnt sound too bad either.

I would love to come, but I live so far away! And I don't have any other enthusiasts in the family!
Oh well. Could someone take a picture of the Darj for me please?
