Almost an entire thread dedicating to beating up somebody who took an April Fools joke a little too seriously and you dive straight in to my tongue in cheek comment about who invented what! Come on now. ;)

Is is just me or is this thread kind of undulating, a bit like a rollercoaster?!

No that's far too sedate! More like the Docklands Light Railway. ;)

Its not just this one instance where Lucazones like this.

Was like this when he first appeared as well, particularly in slating every new route as vapourware. Yet he still hasn't produced much of his own route yet.

If somebody is a source of consternation to others then perhaps those who are bothered by him or her should pm that person and have "a quiet word" and try to either sort their differences out or perhaps give them some friendly advice about how their words and actions are upsetting others rather than banding together in the forums to hold a public hanging which can really create a lot of ill feeling on a board.

Now God knows I can lose my patience myself sometimes and not suffer fools gladly so I'm not claiming to be hollier than thou, not at all, but at the same time I'm not going to indulge in a witch hunt and cast a heavy cloud over a board. I've seen it before on other boards. It can really do damage to a board's community and be very off-putting to newcomers who can get the wrong impression that the existing members of a board are not a particularly friendly bunch. Not only that but such public disagreements played out for all to see can leave an air of bitterness hanging around for a long time to come.

Let's face it, most of the people you would expect to be drawn to these forums are likely to be a bit "geeky" and typical geeky personality traits are to be rather proud and confident of one's own opinion, perhaps a little bit arrogant at times and not at all appreciative of contradiction. Some also might be "a bit plain." Nothing wrong in that, it's good that everybody is different, but it means they might not have the same silly sense of humour as others have. By our very nature therefore, we are likely to cause some friction and irritation to others in our posts from time to time. If we accept that most of us are like that then if somebody is a source of annoyance consider that they might not be sensitive to the fact and just sort it out in private through the messaging system. Some people on this board sometimes cause annoyance to me. I'm honest and know that I've probably caused annoyance to some people myself. I don't bear a grudge however and as far as I'm concerned it's water off a duck's arse. :)

Some might appreciate these words while others will probably take great offence and resentment and flame me for them, but I just thought I'd chip my tuppence worth in.
