future msts
is there any plans to release a new msts?
I'm sure there was a Sticky about the demise of MSTS2, but so far as a follow up product from MS the answer is a resounding "no".
There are a few new train sims in the works, as Luca says check out the new Trainmaster which is being made with MSTS cross compatability in mind. Train Artisan are working on a train sim product and Auran are looking at producing a successor to Trainz. Those of us who follow the German Zusi sim are hoping Version 3 might be released this year. Who knows what else might be in the pipeline!
So even if MSTS is waning slightly (though many are still producing content) the future outlook is far from bleak so far as the wider train simming genre is concerned.
