BVE 4 problem

Post by popol »

I've just downloaded BVE 4 and the district line, but when I've got the blue screen, I right click, I choose the line, the line loads, and I've got an error screen! what can I do? Does it come from my computer, the line or BVE?

What error do you get? And what route are you trying to run.
If you were wondering, the avatar is me on Planet Stooopid...

The error is ( in French ) : "Cast de la chaîne "6.3" en type "Single" non valide". I don't how translate it in English, so I don't if it'd help you.
The route is the district line

I've found the error!
For all the people who have got the same problem as me : you only need to configurate your computer in english, and then, there's no more problem.
Apparently, the BVE 4 doesn't work with Windows XP in French.

The crux of the problem is the decimal point; French Windows uses a comma whilst English Windows uses a full stop/dot/period. Therefore, if you use French Windows the file will not be read correctly, resulting in the complete cockup.
