they look the biz . but they only go from mile post 23 to mile post 25 i think it is something to do with latitude and lonhitude settings in RE .
the question ,s are
how do i get the lat & long positions .and how do i put them in re so i can go the whole route or mabe just the main line .
any thoughts please folks .

The gantries will only cover the part line which is in the world tile you are working on. Move the the next tile, and repeat the trick. It's a very time comsuming process, but well worth it. i did a similar thing with adding gantries, and then changing the speed limits to 186mph.
P.S You'll need to delete a few objects around peterbough as RE is at its object limit of 1400 for each tile, and adding gantries will cause you to loss all your track shapes etc.

i have been swoting up on the read me in RE just to gain a bit of dutch courage prior to having a go ,i think i know what to do so fingers crossed .this is my first try in RE but an electrified mideast would look nice .
i know EUBAHN have the white rose express out soon but i think that is a modern version not as it was when it was first done .

I too electrified my Mideast Route!
As pointed out it is a very time consuming job, I used the old Woodhead Gantries from London KX to North of Hitchin, then a more moderen type that was available on ukts from this point to Retford to simulate the 2nd phase of ECML Electrification from the 1990's.
The Auto Installer is not 100% accurate and puts Gantries everywhere on that Tile, so you will need to delete some of these. Also on the Flyovers and Bridges it puts Gantries on the floor so these will need to be raised.
The Peterborough area is a real problem due to max items on that Tile, also St Neots is the same, but here I removed the Old Branch line on the Downside to free up some space to take the Gantries.
Also at the time of Electrification I updated the Speed Boards to the Modern Round type, and revised the Line Speeds using my ECML Sectional Appendix as close as I could.
All in All a very time consuming job but worth it in the end as the results are quite good.
You will just need to stick with it, and make regular backups.
Hope this helps.
