Post by dforrest »

Anyone else having download problems? It tries to open the http://dltest.uktrainsim.com page which comes up before downloads but hangs there.

Yes, I've had the same problem with that page hanging. Don't know if it's a coincidence but the system test clock has been showing 7.30pm for the last hour or so.

Think the problem is we all expect far to much from a very over worked Matt, time to cut him a bit of slack so he can have a bit of life away from us train nuts :))

Nah the system should be capable of 24/7 operation but it occasionally flops and I am unable to get it back online in time. The server monitor appears to be giving me the silent treatment too - no sign of any SMS from it in a while... maybe I ran out of credit with the SMS company, must check that :)

I need to get the server monitor more reliable, unfortunately the MSN interface causes it plenty of grief - but I can also make it automatically attempt many remedial measures without waiting for me, I just need to get it to actually use them.

Matt.
