Replays?

Hi guys,

How do I view replays of flights that i've flown?

Just wondering...

#In the Flight Sim options menu is an option 'Instant Replay' - select that, and you can select how far back in time you want the replay to be

Couldn't find the Flight Sim Options menu in FS9...

Hi there,

If you press "Alt", immediately left of the spacebar, the menus should appear at the top of the screen.

The replay enables you to view back from the session you're currently in.
If you want to be able to replay a flight in the future then you'll have to create a video. That's under 'Options' and 'Flight Video'.

How does that work? I've tried it before, but it just seemed like a big mess. Oh, it's in FS2002. FS2004/FS9 will be with me by Christmas!

I've noticed that any AI traffic is lost when using Instant Replay mode. I was chasing a steam train in my Travel-Air 2000, flying beside it at window level, and putting the wheels as close to the roof as I could, and when I went back for some screenshots in Instant Replay, the train and all the other traffic were nowhere in sight.

So if you want to see all the traffic as well you'll need to use the Flight Video Recorder.

LOL... I kew I'd get some interest there. Yes, it's an animated train that runs for a while. In fact two trains... There's an express going in one direction and a goods going in the other. Complete with steam and smoke from the stack and steam from the pistons. (seems to be traffic 'flying' at ground level in a straight line for about 50 miles).

I paid the sum total of Â£8 and some pennies for a few 1920s biplanes, scenery, and a couple of driveable cars. But the main reason I got it was to go train chasing.

I can't recommend the add-on highly enough. The planes are gorgeously produced, the models and textures are fantastic. I can talk to my female passenger, listen to music as I fly or tune in to various US radio networks. LOL... Whilst returning to the airfield after buzzing the express, I tuned in to New York radio and heard a live report of the Hindenburg disaster. A bit harrowing, so retuned to Chicago for some big band dance music instead. Of course, I culd play my own CDs from inside the cockpit if I so desired!

Sounds are superb, planes are gorgeous, the home airfield is supremely well done, and the trains are a knockout. Plus a little special something extra that I hadn't realised was part of the package arrived with it... I'll say no more about that.

I ordered and paid (PayPal) at around 5pm on a Monday, and I had a return email and instructions on downloading the add-on witihn the hour. I was flying and marvelling by 7:30 pm after spending a good half hour just in spot view with the plane hangared!

I love my landing replays... made an excellent landing at Ronaldsway the other week, looked great with full flaps!

LOL... I just started my round the world trip in a Cessna 172! Bristol to the Shetlands yesterday with real world updated weather. Started from Bristol with 1/4 mile visibility (couldn't see the end of the runway) so had to file IFR, and ended up landing in a 28 knot crosswind with fumes in the tanks. So I stuck it on AP approach mode and then cut the AP and power just as I was coming over the end of the runway. Still I managed to bounce it, and ended up one wheel on the grass!!!

I reckon I'll sell that plane here and get myself something a little faster with longer range. Hmmm... Those 182s look nice.

Next stop, Rejkjavik.
