This would be better put in the Open forum or real railway discussion. This has nothing to do with General MSTS Discussion

YCR should be out for Xmas but it would be a good time to show the route off, Maybe you could pull a few strings and see if anyone from UKTS can be invited to do a display as they do at the SVR. I'm not volunteering though, I'd like too but I like my photography/videography too much to be sat at a PC all day :)

Great minds and all that :)

As i was reading the announcement i was thinking exactly the same thing.

If the organisers are interested might be worth dropping leviathan1949 a PM. :)

I last heard it was getting cut down from a month long event to the May bank holiday weekend and the only Gresley loco could be Green Arrow (rumour is she will pull the teaks to Grosmont so if Union can't bring them as she is coming from the same place it suggests she might not be there).

thats funny thought arrow was oop north anyway. As an SVR member i have heard nothing of the sort. She definitley isnt in the midlands that im aware of. I think unions got raitour duties round there too after the show becuase the teaks been booked off for a month.

I think what is happening is a diesel will take the NYMR mark 1's to the SVR and pick up the teaks then Green Arrow will move them for part of the journey (probably York - Grosmont)

it'd have to be a 37 or a 40 then unless th NYMR rat actually makes a mainline outing.

I'm guessing it will either be one of the WCRC locos or an EWS loco, can't see why 40145 would do it!

Vacuum brakes rwaceyw, the 37 and 40 are the only loco's i know of mainline that are vacuum. EWS have got no chance theres only 14 37's left mostly 37/4's "air only".

37042 is stored at doncaster and 114 still hasnt been repaired.

Well seeing as the 40 will be out for a few months under repair, i'm still keeping my guess of WCRC's 37197 or 261 ;)
