Tragedy
Wasn't sure where to post this, I'm not really thinking straight at the moment.
On Wednesday afternoon my eldest daughter, Tamara, aged 9, was killed by a drunk driver while talking to a friend on the pavement. Her friend was also hit, but it seems Tamara was able to push her out the way, saving her. Thankfully it was instant, so my wee girl never felt anything.
Tamara loved the trains, especially the GNER HST's.
This is the first of me even switching the computer on since. Just wanted to let people know that I've not left the train sim scene and I'll be back when things get back to some kind of normality.

Kerr, this is tragic news
As you say it is of consolation that it was instant and Tamara would have felt no pain. You should be proud that she saved the life of her friend. I am convinced that if you help your fellow humans then there is a place reserved for you in Heaven.
Words sometimes feel hollow in situations like this but I truely mean them.
God Bless and may Tamara Rest in Peace.

The loss of a child is almost unbearable......and, in this case, so totally unnecessary.
I do hope the driver feels remorse.......but is still punished to the maximum the law will allow.
I hope you are able to get as much support and help from your FLO,
and I advise you and your family members, to except any councilling offered.
A colleage of mine lost his youngest daughter, in similar circumstances
My deepest felt sympathies.

Kerr, as a father myself I just feel sick and hollow having read your note. You are in our thoughts at this time. Alister, Jo and Jessie

Kerr,
Dear God, what can one say? I can't even begin to imagine what you and your family must be going through.
Please accept my deepest sympathies at this terrible, tragic time.
