I'm a little concerned to see that Auran are not offering any support for 3DFX cards with Trainz.
I have a Voodoo2 3000 in my 533 PIII machine which works beautifully with DirectX 8 and MSTS.
Has anyone seen any graphics problems with Trainz since yesterday (I assume that's when everyone first got to try it out!)

I received Trainz yesterday and can confirm what has been said over in the Trainz forum -as expected it will not run on my Voodoo 3 2000
even after setting the renderDirectx flag
Attempting to launch the programme generates a nice black screen only.
You really need a GeForce2 for Trainz.
So this is the excuse I wanted to build myself a new PC.
And of course MSTS will also run faster then.

My experience last night was a bit sad - installed it OK - tried to run with default settings and got a black screen.
Knocked the screen res down to 640x480 and got a menu of sorts (no words, only grey triangles). Using the manual as a guide was able to navigate menus and call up My Collection - locos are showing as completely unrendered shiny silver shapes and it runs very slow - can;t get anything else to go.
I think this is my excuse to buy a 64Mb GeForce card.... which will need a new motherboard/cpu.... which will need a new case.... god knows how much this is going to cost.... plus I can't afford to upset my MSTS installation and part finished route.

I though I'd bring this to the top again.
The Gatwick/Brighton route is the first I've seen which might persuade me to do something about the Trainz/3DFX problem - I've had Trainz sat in a jiffy bag since December, its been there in disgust since I found out Auran did not support the 3DFX cards. Does anyone know if the various SP's (SP1, SP1.1, SP2, SP3) that have been released might solve this problem?
