The Piddington Light Railway ***** Version 2 *****
Bryan and I have been in deep discussion of late, as to the best way of presenting many new ideas we have for MSTS.
It has now been agreed (Bryan’s idea) that an updated version of the Piddington Light Railway will be our next MSTS route project. There are many ideas that are mostly to do with scenery, which I would like to try out in a new route. But, the thought of starting another route for eventual upload is very daunting! So why not dig out the Piddington Light Railway and start to rebuild?
Many of the original remits for the Piddington Light Railway will still apply, mostly that of keeping the download size to a minimum. New ideas for the route include some novel and different items of scenery, some of which will be complex, animated jobs!
***** WATCH THIS SPACE *****
I would also like to take this opportunity to say thank all those of you whom have downloaded the route (download count approaching 200!) and although there has been a little positive feedback, there has been virtually no negative.
If there are any issues which you have come across in the Piddington Light Railway please post them here so that they may be corrected for version 2.
Thank You.

As I have learn't, its the British way....andrewgadd wrote: although there has been a little positive feedback, there has been virtually no negative.
Someone whos had a bad experince will tell the world...
Someone whos had a good experince will tell no one.
Shame but its the way of the world!
Soo I'd take little feedback as good feedback
I certainly enjoy the route, on the rare occasions I get to play with it....
Cheers,
Bruce

Hi
I wouldn't mind a nice narrow boat...to actually drive....like the tug boat on the "Bodilly"
It would make a nice break.....slowly chugging along
(I've seen the buried tracks on the Piddlington.....there are some on the WLLR as well
)
I do like your route...intially I drove up and down for a few days...but then other things get in the way......still on the HD though.

First I would like to takyou for the orginal, its great and can't wait to see what you come up with. Its a great place to run the Pixie class, Dick Kerr tractors and gordon.
The only problem I'm having with Version 1.8 is the crossing after Lwer Loxley keep opening and shutting on my train, I think this is a different crossing than the one mentioned in the readme.
Thanks again, keep up the great work

Currently awaiting approval is a small patch for the Piddington Light Railway.
This patch is the result of an hour’s work to resolve some of the issues noted in these forums and does not contain anything of great significance regarding scenery.
There is however one extra item of scenery added and I wait to see who is the first to spot it!

I adjusted a boat to run on the river in the WLLR.
It Sank !
The underwater track is on a gradient.
I ended up driving a flying saucer on it.

Couple of shots from
*****VERSION 1.9*****
These two are of the Bridgetown high street, which had been unfinished in v 1.8.
The buildings are a rebuild of the default terrace house (only a little better) and now in rows of differing length’s. This enables me to get the object count down for each of the tiles; there are now fewer objects on this tile than in version 1.8!
