Brockenhurst Station Amatuer Movies

Post by jdtech »

Well, I have very recently accquired a Mustek DV4000 Digital Video Camera (with 512MB SD Card) and as a practise session to get my video photography skills up, me and Dad went out to Brockenhurst station, and we went at the right time. There was bountiful service, including a 12 car CIG. Unfortunately, both of us still have to learn not to speak during filming. ;) However, I have replaced audio on some of the movies with music (TV viewers might recognise in the UK & USA(?)).

So, without further ado, here are the movies:

WARNING: JD Movies apologises if the quality of these movies is not what it could be, this is due to amatuer filmers, poor quality lighting and compression for internet.

Arrival of a 12 Car slamdoor formation (859KB | 0:44)

Arrival of both the Lymington CIG (now back to 4 car it seems) and a Super Voyager (878KB | 0:45)

Arrival of an unknown Plastic Pig on its way to Waterloo (627KB | 0:32)

Arrival of Plastic Pigs Operation Overlord and Doreen Scalan* (689KB | 0:34)

Departure of Operation Overlord and Doreen Scalan* (646KB | 0:33)

Departure of the 12 car slamdoor train (447KB | 0:23)

Going back in time, for when the Lymington CIG and Plastic Pig left. This movie contains the credits (932KB | 0:49)

Enjoy,
John

Nice videos! Brockenhurst station has a nice, musical PA system

The ending credits are from the new Auf Widersehn Pet series.

Haven't bee nto Brockenhurst for ages. Have they still got the sliding ramp between the ticket office and the platform?

I've been luck to use that lol.

Yeah they still have it Ed, as you'll see from my photo website, I was there 2 weeks ago . Nice vids. Love the Auf Wiedersehn Pet music :D

EDIT: My above post sounds like I have a pic of the sliding ramp, I don't but I can say I've seen it.
