Got to hand it to you, those green peaks do look great. Do the headcodes appear invisible until you are quite close though? I had this problem with a couple of previous locos.
Anyho, I will definately be downloading D1. BTW is that a new shade of green you have there. It just seems better than previous attempts. And the specular lighting adds the cherry to the top.
Green Peaks, can't wait, looks superb.... out of curiosity which ones did you use for the 45's Paul Mitchell's originals or snowcrashandy/basildd's rebuilds ?
1. Yes the western reskin is a very quick(14 mins) paint-swap job.....I just wanted a green one....and to test the water really.
2.I've done a bit of work on both the headcodes and the indicator discs(but an alteration to the shape file is required)....so they're visible from a distance.
3.I've also altered the eng files for lights etc.
4.I've always admired D100 Sherwood Forester....so I thought I'd do one.
Theres both versions of shape file done.....Paul Mitchell's original and snowcrashandy/basildd's rebuilds ......the rebuild version is a better model as it isnt fitted with multiple wiring etc....but then you loose the pipe highlights.
4.The shade of green is darker on the 44s....than the 45....neither are dead accurate...but I just go for what looks OK on my machine.....and I polished it...as it was fresh painted last time I saw it.
5.I've sent the 44s for inclusion on the Thames_Mersey Cd (I just admire Dave Corfields route so much)....as they worked off Camden in their early years...but if I gain permission I will release then on UKTS.
I've altered the 44 cabview slightly ....again I've got to speak to the author.
Needs some more work yet....and subject to permissions etc....should be uploaded in a week or so....(yes I know they didn't come out till later...but I like DMUs ) [/img]
Hi Steve
If your asking after the Peaks....I sent the skins to Andy Dunnett a couple of weeks ago...as he'd kindly offered to make some alterations to the shape file.
The Derby Lightweights are still being worked on...mainly cabview.
Cheers
Jon
