WCML Northern England Section

Post by jonathanmlewis »

As most of you know I am making the WCML from Crewe to Carlisle and maybe Edinburgh and Glasgow in a future version. The Rails are now complete from Crewe to Carlisle need to finish of the track at Crewe, Warrington Yard, Wigan Springs Branch and Carnforth but all main lines trackage is complete. Here are a few screenshots around Hest Bank with quite a bit of scenery in place now.

Hest Bank

Hest Bank with Crossing gates that didn't appear to close! I will replace them with more modern which it now has in real life
Image
North of Carnforth (I still need to add a lot of scenery in this area)

I will post more screenshots as progress continues

Here is an updated screenshots of Hest Bank with more modern crossing gates

Also would anyone that lives near Lancaster be kind enough to get some photos looking both ways at Lancaster station and of the station etc.. so I have a better idea what the station area looks like instead of using my poor memory!
Thanks

John,
You've got the crossing barriers the wrong way round. They need to be rotated 180 degrees. The side which houses the barrier (the bit sticking out) needs to face the road not the train track

It's good that you've set a website up! I like the idea of having a map and then linking to that particular section of the route - good idea!
