Request-a-50

Post by jdjonny »

Hi guys,

I think this is the right forum to post this in... appologies if its not.

I've been toying with the concept of plug-in reskins using one master loco. The first class I've done this with is the '50s, using 042 as the master which the others plug into. I'm pleased to say it all works quite neatly though an .exe install system :) 042 is uploaded here:

I've put up 50003, as requested by kidnapster in the thread in the screenshots forum. It's awaiting approval.

All the locos use the same "main" skin, but have different numbers/nameplates.

They work out to about 1.9mb for 50042, and every other reskin you get is about 400kb..

Is anyone interested in this, and if so, may I take your requests for what members of the class you would like? Bearing in mind it must be in large logo livery... which they all carried during their working lives.

Place your orders here ;)

Is it? Dont know, basically all you need is the main one and then these install into the same folder, with many parts aliased.

So far I've done:

50003
50033
50031
and 50042 - the master.

with the following to do:

50025
50046
50149 - although it'll have to be 50049 in Large logo.. is that ok?

Once I've worked through all the requests, I can modify the skin to suit small logo ones. I think :)

It takes me about 10 mins to do each loco, so it wouldnt be too hard to do the whole class... if there's enough demand for it. I was also considering releasing them in packs of say, 10, eg 50001-50010 as one pack and so on. I'll carry on this way for now though..

Cheers,
JDJonny

50046 in RES????????????? :o :o

What a disgusting thought, it is bad enough that they stripped 46 to put the bits into that horrible green monstrosity, without it being in RES!!

The ONLY livery for 50046 is Large Logo with a black roof.

PLEASE, PLEASE do 46 like this.

Umm... I'm not going to redo the whole skin for them, but if you could get me some pics of nameplates/certain rust spots or other "big" features the locos have I'll put them on.

I can also fade the livery down a bit.

Aren't they in NSE livery? If so I'll have to represent them in BR service with large logo..
