Hi all!
Some may know I like Leeds Train Station, so I took some piccies there last friday:

Image
A nice shot of Leed station from low down.

Image
A Class 333 from Ground Level

Image
A MK4 DVT from Ground Level.

Image
A second one, in case the one above didnt turn out.

Image
Now, I wasnt actually behind the camera when I took this.

Image
Same as above, but more in the centre of the track! More wobbily to!

Image
A rare site through Leeds Station

Image
This is the Pacer that I took some GREAT sounds from. The one behind (You cant see it) I took a load of cab shots from to :)

What do you think?

Nice Photos Pete :D I like the one of the EWS 60 Going through the station because of whats in the platform in the background :D :D !!

When you say you have recorded some sounds from the 144, do you mean you are making this train for BVE?

Without wanting to be a stick-in-the-mud, it is perhaps worth pointing out that absolute care must be taken at all times - photos like the ones above where the camera is being held out in front of the train could very well give rise to station managers sending people to come haul you off the station.

Please be careful folks and get permission before you pull stunts to get special photographs just so that people in authority know what you're doing and know you aren't some death-crazed maniac :)

Yes, do be careful chaps :)

The Network Rail management for Leeds station are very accomodating about photos - just ask and they will help you with what you want to do.

Thanks

Dont try that at New Street Anton, whatever you do, you will be arrested for being a terrorist. The staff at New Street, while friendly at times, arent to accomodating to cameras.

I know. Fred set up a tripod, got a few vids but the woman just came up to us and ased if we had asked permission, and we said no, and she was jsut saying about terror threats and all.
She was nice about it though no hard feelings. but to be honest the station wasnt that great, a bit too dark.

But Yuri off the UKTS forums said that we should go to the EWS depot. we walked for ages, going past the Freightliner Depot, which just all containers really. we so far that we went to this station just outside Birmingham, i cant remember what it was called, but it was nice, i got some good videos of Virgin 87's, pulling mk.2's and 3's and also a Class 321.

After that we went down, or should I say up the line to Stafford, now that was chilled out. all they asked for were tickets, and thats all. sat down at the end of the platform and took pictures videos, etc.

By the way pete I tried your trick, but no haning over the platforms for me :) Also the 323, thats the station I was at jsut outside Birmingham.

Yes I know Leeds are good, I just walk round and Take Photographs with no problems at all.

Also though I was reading a post on here not so long ago, about Rail Photographers cards, i think it was in the Open forum im not totally sure, but I think that should be brought in. Its not very nice been not able to do the thing you love without someone on your case :(

Erm, the station with the 323 at it is probably somewhere ebtween Birmingham International and New Street. Hampton in Arden or Berkswell or something. It doesnt look like Smethwick or the XC South.
