I caught the train from Warwick down to Marylebone this morning, and then across London on the tube to Waterloo. I then caught the train to Alton station which the Watercress line shares.
The line was running an off peak service with one steam and one DMU. My train ws the DMU, so I took up residence on the front seat, so that I could look out of the cab window
I took the train all the way down to Alresford, passing West Country Class loco Bodmin at Ropley. I then took the same train back to Ropley:

As trains were passing here today, Bodmin (34016), pulled into the station again:

Before the train left, I walked along the path by the side of the line so that I could get a video of the train leaving the station:

There was a footplate course going on at Ropley while I was there so I got some shots of the J94, Douglas, in full steam:

I raced across the footbridge after taking the video, and then caught the train back to Alton, where the London train was waiting
I another great day, beats work...
