The Great Eurotunnel Model Hunt [by LucaZone]
Does anyone know anyone who runs the Eurotunnel Models. Speaking with the former manufacturers it appears they are now no longer made and only a handful of exhibitions a year ever see them.
With production finished will that mean their value could drop or raise? Id be interested in getting hold of some, but kit forms have never taken my appeal.
eBay?

Re: Eurotunnel Models
I'm assuming by the above you have tried Taylor Precision Models and CJM? These locos do occasionally appear on eBay which might be your only option.LucaZone wrote:Does anyone know anyone who runs the Eurotunnel Models. I know it probably looks like im trying to flog a dead horse here, but with such little success on this mission im really asking for community wide assistance.
With the network of people on here, is there anyone who has that friend of a friend of a friend connection who has or operates these models, or could point me in their direction?
Does anyone know of any shows they might pop up at. The last time I saw them in the flesh was wqith the CJM guys at the Waverley Show at the the NEC last year. Even they didnt have anything operating and couldnt even tell me the layouts they ran on. Though they proclaimed that several clubs in the UK do have and run these models.
This mission is equivilant to hunting Unicorns! hehe

Ironic really, you wait ages and then 2 come along....
Ive received a pricing sheet in the post along with one of the Product review pages form a September 1995 British Railway Modeller magazine about the models. Though the posting was annonamous - Thanks to whoever sent it
It details the powered and unpowered loco's as £49.99 new, hehe and I paid £48.51 second hand :/ Tis the way. Dont see these anymore and yes ur right, I too thought it would go higher.
Prolly not a layout for a while yet, simply nho time. Maybe just some shelf display/collection for now.

You sure, only according to most sources this model was scrapped along with the entire exhibition about 5 years ago....... The whole building has been rented out as office space since then.montylowe2 wrote:Theres a huge N scale euro tunnel layout at Dover at the channel tunnel museam, near the big drilly thing:-)
Rich
If infact its still operating, 15 miles further down the line in Dover, i'l be there this weekend!
Pete All that was at Warley last year were the manufacturer CJM. Plus the only record I can find of a display layout using Eurotunnel Stock is listed in one of my posts above.
