On Friday I made a trip partly by ICE to the German border town of Simbach, on a branchline from the Innviertel region.
On Saturday there was a private special train with nostalgic 2045.020 diesel through the lovely Kamptal valley near Wachau region.
On Sunday the steam museum/shed Strasshof opened for this season with several steam trains and 5 different steamers working at the shed. They also presented a newly restored loco, Southern Railway class 109.13, very special since they now have 3 working express locos of the late 19th / early 20th century Southern Railway. Of course here is also the oldest working original steam loco from 1851, "Licaon".

A small grass fire broke out, this sweet nostalgic fire truck of the Strasshof fire department arrived (there was already a modern vehicle on the scene, but they seemed to enjoy spraying more and more foam on the ground
