I got out the way, and went to the side the wind wasnt blowing to :)

The 20 had recieved some repairs, and this was just a start up to make sure it still worked, and to put some charge into the batteries. The engine only ran for a few minutes. It'll now go back into the workshops for more repairs to the valves.

I think we made enough smoke to choke half of Bodmin :)

Things are looking quite good for the loco now :)

The valve seats (which is what we're replacing) are easily got hold of, they're just damn difficult to get access to in the loco. It involves taking cases off from near the top of the engine, and dismantling various bits of the valve just to get to the seat itself. Hopefully she'll be chopping through Cornwall again pretty soon :)

That is smokey, but nothing beats a Diesel Train firing up :wink:
