North West England V2

Post by TractorBasher »

Whilst we wait for the CD to arrive in the post - available to order now from UKTS - would one of those lucky enough to have NWE 2 already (ie the creators) like to share some screenshots with us? :D

I don't have the absolute latest version yet though (release version has proper gantries), so that'll have to do for now...

I hadn't realised it extended under the Channel and all the way to Paris. :P

Excellent shot. I'm eager to play it. :D

He meant Blackpool Int., as in International, where the branch goes off to Douglas. :P

about half of ukts I think! ;)

Really, its too much to list - looking in the master folder, there are 251 folders under Trainset.

According to trainstore, 140 engines, 290 wagons.

Oh, and all engines have non-default cabviews and (I think!) sounds.

Also, I'm sure Terry won't mind me revealing that there are 16,500 track pieces in the route, covering a total distance of 875.5 miles, or 1408.9 km.

MSTSmiles took 4.5 hours to processs it!

58020 at Golborne Colliery
Image

60103 Flying Scotsman on a steam special to celebrate passing into public ownership approaches Lancaster heading south...
Image

...and stops at the station.
Image

On its way south it meets a new Virgin Pendolino...
Image

...and at Garstang reaches the magic ton! Watch out for that speed restriction ahead though...
Image

Meanwhile, in Preston station on a cold but clear morning at 0710, the driver of a Pacer to Ormskirk waits for the signal to clear.
Image

On leaving the station, a 47 with an engineer's train comes the other way from a possession further south.
Image

Croston station is pretty overgrown...
Image

...and the Pacers pass on the loop at Rufford.

I don't have any activity on the CD that is my favourite, but anyone growing up in South Lancashire in the seventies will enjoy 'Golborne to Agecroft coal' and of my own rather paltry constributions I think 'Vulcan delivery' (take a brand new EE Type 4 from Vulcan to Horwich) is quite entertaining, and 'coal from Garston to Fleetwood' had me, Terry and Alan all reaching for the tablets!

All stock seen on the screenies is on the CD (as far as I recall!).

Enjoy
