the generic 4-wheelers from GWR appearntly do not exist

What tells you that they do? That might help me find out why they do not :)

The generic 4-wheelers from GWR never did exist on uktrainsim.com. Goto http://www.highworth.freeuk.com. Better still, download Robin Howell's much improved, more accurate and entirely superb 4-wheelers, which come in 2 sets, and use Route Riter, Activity Analysis or Wordpad to replace the original model with these.
