I just don't understand what the point is ? Its a 2000 news story, and apart from possible likely flooding, I don't see much to link it to this week. The title does not make sense either.

Is it half term yet ?

Think of the enormous big space there'd be in the forums if people didn't spend their time delving into the archives :D

Fair point, except....
BBC Report wrote:The worst storms in a decade have battered southern Britain, killing three people and flooding roads and towns
Winds reaching almost 100mph
Does "worst storms in a decade" count as a little bit of wind ?

Guess you'd say that WWII = "small short term minor european disagreement" ?

Hmm. On the news here yesterday, there was a picture of one of the small stations somewhere in Wales. Basically the tracks were invisible under about 1.5 - 2 feet of water! It was nearly up to the platform top!

Hmm, perhaps not.

Explain yourself and the connection you were thinking of then buffy500.

It has and is still fairly windy here.
