Latest addition to Scottish Central route

Post by Cobos »

Thought I'd post a couple of shots to show the newest addition to the Scottish Central route. The Tay Rail Bridge, south spans from Wormit to the High Girders. Anyway, I'm quite pleased how it's turned out.

As prof frink says in the simpsons : Good glaben in a glass!!!

That looks amazing, you doing Dundee station now, or just as far as the tay bridge?

My route is going to Dundee station... furthest south i'd d is prolly invergowrie and esplanade station, on the approach to the bridge.

Let's hope Cobos is doing Dundee station :D

Cobos, what area has had the scenery treatment so far? I gathered from your recent screenshots that you've done Waverley to South Gyle ? Have you got any screenshots east of Waverley heading out to Craigentinny ?

P.S The route looks absoloutely amazing. Did you do the model of the Tay Bridge?

TIA

Thanks Jamie. Dundee station is done. I was up there today getting some shots of the station buildings and trying to get a better idea of the station layout. I wasn't convinced I had things quite right. I was correct. It won't take much to change. This is as far north as I will be going. The track will end at Camperdown sidings.

I also remember you asking if Thornton yard was going to be there, or just trees at the mainline trackside. I'm now in the process of laying the yard, as I now have info on it.

I've also completed the suburban line as far as Livingston South. Mossend might appear at some point this year also.

Hi Gary. Scenery just up to South Gyle at the moment. I've been going crazy adding track everywhere. Tay Bridge is my creation. I've finished 50% of the High Girders. I now have a better idea of how all that steel lies so I might even have that done tonight.

Great news!

I know what you mean I could do the Aberdeen route in a night just doing trackwork but I keep remembering I have to scenerise it :(

As you can tell that aint my strongpoint.

Could you possibly post a few shots of Dundee station, even e-mail me them direct, I didn't realise you were doing it and want to see it in MSTS, somethings i've wanted to see every since I heard of train simulators!!

Jamie, four shots of Dundee station. Trackwork only, and this is before I change the layout to match the new measurements I took today.

Remember to include the rounding roads in the yard.

Linkswood tanks used to run via Perth and round there to face south before freight was banned from the bridge.
