Hello all.
Is there a way of actually making the semaphores work in lower quadrant mode. They are Lower Quadrant signals, but work in Upper Quadrant mode.
Thankyou.
Best wishes, Bob.

Bob,
Which semaphore signals are you referring to?
If it is the the default S & C ones, why not download either the LSWR or GWR kits, both are lower quadrant, operate correctly, give you plenty of junction combinations, and are available on this site.
To answer your original question, yes it is possible, it entails editing the shape files of the signals concerned.

Don't bother editing the default S&C signals, they are pretty poor models. As John says, get the LSWR or GWR ones. There are also some Midland LQ signals on the 1920s S&C route but you would have to seek permission from the route author, Pat Dalton before you could distribute those in a route of your own.

Further to Martin's suggestion, Pat Dalton and I have agreed to release the Midland signals as a kit, as has been done for LSWR and GWR. At the time the signals were constructed a set of posts was also done, although special posts created by the late Malcom Roper were eventually used. At the same time a set of LNWR signals with posts was created, to be used in the Carlisle area, but in the final event the signals were never used.
These kits will have to be updated to include such items as linked signals, stop/distant signals etc, with a bit of luck I will be in a position to upload in a couple of weeks.
