Improved Class 40 Reskins........

Post by 40058 »

Hi All,

I've uploaded the first in a series of improved Class 40 reskins, these will come in both blue and green and will feature "Transport Font" numbers, one standard texture with side grille either on or off depending on the year modelled...and a few other tweaks.

Where as some of you may feel there are too many 40's or don't want to download an update, I've decided to remove the old ones and replace with a new loco...one or two will get an update or go from blue to green..

Uploaded is 40 024 "Lucania"

Watch out for...

40064 Blue
40141 Blue
40191 Blue
D272 Green
D289 Green
389 Green

I have also done standalone versions of D211 "Mauretania" & D215 "Aquitania" but as yet I can't upload as I not sure Mark Shipman would allow this....so if anyone can get in touch with him, please direct him to this post..

Cheers & Merry Christmas to you all... :x-mas:

Hi

Would it be possible to have some photorealistic 40's? I know it is more difficult, but they look so realistic!

Also, would it be possible to have some really weathered engines, as there aren't any properly weathered ones. (when i say weathered i mean really weathered ie mud rust etc)

Mark Shipman was actually doing a photoreal 40 but his RSI got the better of him and we haven't heard from him for a while now...

As for weathering that's not my strongest area at the moment and I'm bogged down with other stuff....If anyone would like to weather a couple of loco's intended for release please PM me but be warned I'm fussy  I like a good job :o

Cheers,

Hi 40058

Please go ahead and upload your singleton versions of D211 and D215, I would not object at all, i'm always happy to see my old stuff getting reworked.

I started on a photo texture version of 40145, but I still have problems with RSI whenever I use the PC, its getting better slowly, but It will be a while before its done, if I can remember how.

D211 is now available and D215 will be up tomorrow. If time permits I'll put up 40064 & 40191.

Cheers,
