I have no idea for a completion date, just keep watching this thread.
Meanwhile here's a current map of the line, taken from “AEâ€

Although it appears to have gone very quiet out at Piddington, things are still moving along. I am currently looking at the activity potential. We are planning an activity pack to go along with the route.

I am currently working on a return working to the quarries from Bridgetown with hoppers. There is also potential for goods trains to the Mill and Piddington Factory. Here is a taster: -

This image shows the quarry bound train of empties passing the loco sheds.
Note: the railway has replaced the loop at the loco sheds station with a loading platform that the narrow gauge siding runs along to give level loading and unloading from standard gauge wagons.
Cheers,
Bryan. :D

I am sorry to those few, whom I said that this was going to be kept a secret until upload, but Terry’s new Simplex are just about perfect for the Penny Hassett Quarries currently under construction.
Below are three shots taken around the working as they are constructed. There are also two galleries plus necessary inclines with a neat little devise for accessing all whilst playing the game. I still have much track to lay at the site (and it’s already like a rabbit warren) and then scenery. May be requesting a few specialised building in the not too distant future! Winding houses and such.
So, more small and over worked industrial stock please.

Work on the Piddington has been very sluggish of late; this has been mainly due to the fact that certain jobs in the route needed the skills of a 3D-model maker.
So I’ve finally got to grips with Gmax (thanks to Mike for the push) and now I am able to get on and start completing areas of the railway. Perhaps Bryan will stop moaning about the sidings in the sky at the transfer yard! It’s difficult to see, but there are three separate levels here.

I have also been able to get some crossing gates to open (automatically) away from roadways! This is quite nice, as they have also been made to open really slowly and trains now have to wait for the gates to open! Bringing some more operational scope to the line.
The quarries plods along slowly (long shot below), you guys are going to get so lost in there!

Following many repeated disasters with the route, Bryan and I have come to a decision.

BUILDING WORK HAS STOPED.

I am finding that the route crashes more often that not whilst in “REâ€

I know exactly where you are coming from. However, if you can achieve a good tdb rebuild, all is not lost. (Only the signalling, pickup objects, platform markers, level crossings and carspawners...)

Bryan has convinced me to upload the Piddington Light Railway. We have, between us, been able to get a working copy of the route together and although the uploaded route will be far from finished, it will be, at least, a Truescale (2ft) route in the library. I think, possibly, the only one!
There are a few additions to the line, that will be made before upload. Theses are all of a scenic nature and involve changing none default shapes for ones of my own creation!
Below is a shot of the new station building (unfinished) at Bridgetown, new crossing gates are also to be installed throughout the line, plus other odd items of scenery.
I will be laying no more tracks either, as this seems to be making the route crash! So the quarry will just have to remain unfinished, although Bryan believes that this will not distract from the enjoyment factor.
