Class 156 - Arriva

Post by SteelixB »

New Model - coming soon...

Still got to put the big 'N' onto the texture, and do some other stuff to the model (like add an interior)

Looking good SteelixB.
Is this an entirely new model? If so, does it use a different texturing arrangement so that the sides don't pixelate?

Cheers
Chris

This 156 looks stunning.
This is definately one for the old download list.

Yes, it's a new model, and it does use a different texturing arrangement.

just realised, there must be a limit on how many parts you can put on an msts model. I've noticed there's a part missing from behind the plough at the front. I'll have to join some parts together before I release it.

sorry, busy with other stuff. haven't touched it since that screenshot I posted. I'll work on it today though (not got anything more important to do) :) . The reason I've left it for a while is because I hit a snag with the 3D doors (yes thats 3D!!!), mainly with the one at the back on the first coach on the side seen on the screenshot - invisible door frame :-? . Will fix it though...

Hi all at atomic sysytems forum. I like the detail on the arriva class 156, this will be a good train for the settle and carlisle route on msts. good luck.

Harold.

Thats so realistic - well done!
I wish I could get my model in to train sim - who knows, its sunday tomorrow and I have two weeks to get things sorted.
But anyway - what a beautiful 156, such a nice treat. Keep up the great work

you think THATs realistic, check this one:

<img src="http://album.atomic-systems.com/showPic ... 156new.jpg">

doors don't appear right in Shape Viewer, but they do in MSTS - at least I hope they do, I haven't been in MSTS to look at my model, only Shape Viewer.

:D Looking very impressive SteelixB. How is the model textured, is it 1024x1024s or multiple 512s?

Cheers

512s. I've got the big N on now, and I'm just about to apply the Arriva logo.
