Far North Activities/Rolling Stock

Post by bigvern »

My refurbishment of the Far North route has now reached a stage where I can now start to think about the activities which will be included with the route.

Subject to the relevant permissions to include on the CD, what would you like to see? Class 26's or other Type 2's, 37's or Sprinter type activities. Once I have an idea, I can start planning the activities.

NB: I have included the "Ross Siding" release road off P5 to P4 at Inverness, so it should be possible to work a train in from the north, uncouple the loco and release to turn via P4 and Rose Street Curve then recouple on the same stock to go north again - a 9 hour activity! (In theory at least).

How about doing more then 1? include identical activities but only the locos change, people can choose which set (or sets) they want :).

158????????????? Gotta be the 26!! Re-run the Sunday Lairg papers with a pair and load 15!!!!!! Better still, Inverness 24s with dual headlights!!!!! Think I've made my point......

Seriously, depends on the era its modelled on. If its got signals then it ain't going to be sprinters, so why not make a selection of steam/sulzer/tractor activities?

STEAM STEAM STEAM STEAM, anyday. Black 5, perfect for the line post 1930s, would be good, but if anyone was up to new models, some older Highland Locos like a Jones Goods or a Skye Bogie would make me buy the disc straight away!!!!!!!!!

Hi Vern

Could we have some activities set up to use Bluearrows Rolling Stock, as well as default stuff (perhaps have the BA activities as a seperate installer on the CD

Well it looks as if it will be Black Five and Class 37 based activities!
