EMU SOUNDS
I know a lot of work goes into recording sound sets, but i can't help noticing that, in the common emu sounds, u pull away from a standstill and it instantly sounds like you're doing about 60 ! Has anyone else noticed this ? Anyone else working on some emu soundsets ?

Yeah, I've noticed that too.
The old style english electrics have a unique sound when pulling away with the change in pitch of the engine whine. However we don't have anything that recreates that. I feel thats a shame as it removes some of the realism.
I would love to have a go and get some sounds from the local 321's but would not know where to start.

I have got a recording of a BEP somewhere. I'll have to try and find the tape and put them on the computer then I can send it to anyone who wants to use them. Hope I can find it as it has some great Thumper sounds on it aswell
Think it also has some tread brake sounds aswell which I think is something the slammers could do with.

Got your PM Pete. I have replied. Sorry there's not much detail, but I still have to go and get the sounds again...rain ruined the last lot...
Project H2P status: Currently awaiting software to fix PC problems. Got a start on .mkr file, hoping to continue that soon. Wprk should re-commence very soon.

Well what I have done is removed all the sounds(except the horn)from my class 400 slam door series units and because I have got the excellent Railwaves track sounds installed I only hear these when driving these units. I have also removed the AI diesel sound so that my AI units just go clickty clack. I find it sounds much better than the basic sounds.
I agree that a motor sound would be better but from the cab you don't hear it anyway.
If a decent motor sound can be sorted out it would be great.
I know what I have said is only any good to people with the Railwaves sound pack but I thought I would add my piece.
