been busy on vCTRL of late.

Was wondering, whats the biggest route to have accurately traced landscape? In the UK that is. Most of the US routes are DEM terrained as that data is free.

Don't know the answer to that one!

Mideast isnt, although a fair chunk at either end is! :)

As for SVR I'll let everyone guess that one :)

terrain

Mine is coming along slowly...terrain has been done from Southampton to Salisbury now, although I will be tracing the terrain eventually from Portsmouth to somewhere in Wales...

That'll take some time...

True. Still, it will take a lot of anyone's time to accurately create Welsh landscapes...Particularly if it was for a model of the Heart Of Wales line...

I hope the route you do ends in Swansea!

Swansea v2.0 Welshrailways is quite large. Although I haven't done the mileage yet, it stretches from Swansea to Milford Haven, Swansea - Llandeilo (Heart of Wales line, JJules), Carmarthen Llandeilo, Swansea - Port Talbot, and the Amman Valley. That adds up to some serious mileage. And all terraformed using TSTF. :D

Wow! That's some route by the sounds of things. I was going to PM you today about the route, asking how it was developing...

Sounds like it will be quite interesting!

Terraforming on my route should begin some time next week, with track-laying commencing the minute that finishes!

Of course all of Woodhead's 60 odd miles has now been 90M DEM'ed. There are still hand adjustments for cuttings/embankments/cliffs etc.

Hope so. The quality of routes could be increased heavily. It will certainly make terraining the HOW line easier...OR for that matter anywhere with much hills.
