Hi,
have downloaded this route, think its very good. I especially like the idea of carrying explosives on a route thats collapsing!
And the cow on the footbridge is a nice idea.
Only one question - is the download meant to contain activities, as the readme2 file says to download various stock items for the activities, but the route appears to contain no activity files.
Otherwise keep up the good work, thanks

i think that any activities created on ver2 should be compatable with ver3 as im not going to eddit the existing track.

pls bear in mind that i have been very carful to establish a single starting point entry in the pull down menue for each station. if you create any new paths then pls make sure that they dont create a new starting position entry in the pull down menue, unless you feel the position is different enough to warent a new position entry.

hear is the history of the JLR and its connection with the B&SR. this also outlines the reason / excuse for not building all the line in the first 2 versions, enjoy.
Johnson’s light railway. (JLR)
Also an imaginary line. (To be included in the B&SR route.)
The Johnson’s light railway was created after the B&SR. It was built by a guy called Johnson (un surprisingly.) he built it to serve his factory and the small town he lived in. Instead of creating a line all the way to the Dock he decided to join up to the B&SR. His endeavor proved a success and he started to create a small profit soon after opening. The B&SR also didn’t complain as it also benefited.
Throughout its life the JLR was used primarily to carry goods to and from the factory. It also had the added advantage of attracting more workers to the factory due to its connection to the B&SR. Soon the hamlet at the junction where the two lines met turned into a small town. This later proved one of the few saving graces of the both the line and factory.
some years after the line was constructed the JLR expressed its interest in using some of the B&SR network by making a physical connection between the two lines. The B&SR pointed out that the JLR engines were poorly suited for the steeper grades provided by the mountains around David’s docks but agreed that they could create a physical link provided that they pay for the privilege. Shortly after the connection was completed disaster struck the B&SR during a particularly nasty storm, which caused a great swathe of track to disappear into the sea and the tunnel near David’s docks (already in a bad way) collapsed at the far end. Due to the fact that the B&SR had insufficient funds to repair the damaged section the B&SR was forced to cut its line short. (version’s 1 and 2).
While the JLR now had soul aces to other stations it didn’t own, it did mean that it no longer had aces to the all important docks. not only that but the cannal that the factory previously relied on to transport its goods had become overgrown and shallow, making it unusable. this ment the factory had no way of getting its goods to the outside world, or even getting resources in. Johnson pulled all the favors he could and managed to secure a small sea worthy boat capable of carrying goods. He used this to transport supplies to and from David’s dock. It was by no means perfect and was less profitable than the previous arrangement due to the small amount he could transfer per day, but it kept the financial wolves from the door. The line still played its part as the factory did not back onto the water and so the line was used to get the goods to the boat. Track was scavenged from the factory buildings and old rusty trucks melted down to make track. It is also worthy of note that when the B&SR returned, it found several sections of its track mysteriously missing (they think they know where they ended up). All so a small branch could be made to the sea where the boat was
Unfortunately for Johnson he did not live to see the reopening of the B&SR section as he died due to the stress of keeping his business afloat just a month previous.
Without any hairs to the business or family left of any kind the banks moved in, and were going to demolish the place and sell everything they could. Fortunately The B&SR feeling partly responsible made a deal with the bank and for a while took over the running of the line and factory. The line had already been paid for and the factory price was just being settled when Johnson’s illegitimate son showed up, but fortunately he was only interested in the factory and settled for a cash settlement on the line (which the B&SR did not have to pay).
While the engines and track are all owned by the B&SR the owner decided to keep the JLR engines running in the original JLR livery and under the JLR name in memory of Johnson, a very good friend and business partner. (who do you think found him the boat)
