From the picture and the route description it appears that it's set in the BR 1950s period, like my planned Bournemouth-Weymouth route, rather than the current day. Well, if it's out by December they'll certainly reach Wareham before I do.

Could be today though, the line is that long, and has both items of stock shown in the picture :)

Swanage Branch Line

Post by lateagain »

Having seen what an excellent job they've made of SVR this seemed like an ideal line for similar treatment!

Cambrian Coast from 3DTrainstuff is excellent so I hope they've done their homework on this route? Scenically it's in a great part of the Country as I'm sure "longbow" will confirm.

Check out Branch Line to Swanage (Middleton Press) to appreciate just how much and varied traffic used this line.

:-? I must apologies to Bluearrow and give Hymek a mental "kick"!

As I purchased both SVR and Cambrian Coast I'm well aware of who did what.... and equally indebted to both developers. I also apologise for my lack of clarity.

The point I was making was that the Swanage Branch was an interesting choice of route. I refer the more literate members to my original comment. The publication concerned is available at Transport Diversions, for whom I hold no status other than customer!

Bournemouth to Weymouth (including Swanage Branch) would indeed be "the Cake" upon which Swanage branch would be the icing!!!

I remain indebited to ALL developers. I can always delete that which is not to MY taste. Just wish I had the talent that is obviously out there.

Whoooah! Only a 10 mile route? Bit too short for me. Though being a fan of Southern routes and the fact they did such a good job on Cambrian Coast: A Seaside Journey, I may well get this add-on.

I'd like to see 3dtrainstuff tacking a more modern day or BR Blue era UK route. Though it's nice to see they've produced another UK route anyway.

Well freeware wise the East Lancs Railway from Heywood to Rawtenstall will be available sometime early 2004.
Im getting into my preserved railways on MSTS im finding them more enjoyable than a lenghty line to run on. spose its because im involved with a preserved line that i can relate to them easily
