Hi
Welcome to the forums. :P
There is probably a batch file called 'install.bat' that must be run (by double clicking it) before the route will work.
This copies files from the six default routes.

Don't bother with it as the route was never finished, your best bet is Dorset Coast, that is complete and will take you from Waterloo to Weymouth via Southampton, and also the Waterloo to Windsor/Reading Lines also from Basingstoke to Reading and Basingstoke to Yeovil Junc,Woking to Portsmouth, and a lot of various branches,IE Eastliegh -Romsey Salisbury,St Denys to Havent.

To be honest, I would goto the CD ordering page and order DC3 and then get the updates to V6.

If you wish to go ahead with London-Southampton, we need to know what the problem is with the platform kits - any error messages or what is the problem?

The instructions to install the platform kits are contained in the kits and quite plain to read.

As far as I recall some files go in a global folder and some get put into the route itself. As I said - it is all in the readme.
