mersey route (crewe liverpool) download problems

Post by skoda »

Ive downloaded all 4 new upgrade files for the crewe liverpool route but file 4 keeps coming up as an invalid winzip file! I've downloaded it twice to make sure the first download hadnt been interupted but it's still the same. the other 3 files have been opened by winzip with no problems.

Crewe to Liverpool

I had gathered that there might be a problem looking at the number of downloads for file 4 when compared with files 1 to 3.

I am rezipping and uploading again tonight. :-?

The new file (I assume it is new based on the revised position in the listing) is the same as before - invalid zip file!

While you're at it, the original version file one is also corrupt! See thread in site admin (I think)

Confirmed, the updated version is still damaged.

Downloaded on a different pc to make sure the old file wasn't being cached.

I have only just finished uploading the rezipped file 4. UKTrainsim still need to approve it, so the old file 4 is still there.

I shall remove it right now.

Do not know about file 1 of version 1. I have had over 2500 people download it from UKTrainsim and Trainsim.com with only 1 or 2 complaints.

Maybe this zipping/uploading technology is not foolproof!!!

Re-downloaded the mersey24.zip, run the install2.0 & the modern .bat & now get the send/don't send message when trying to run ormskirk - liverpool & liverpool - bidston activities. Could explore route from CHester though....

Can anyone enlighten me as to why.

I do have all the default routes installed

I had the same problem when trying to run the new activities MSTS just threw up the send/dont send message so I deleated the new activities made a trial run from Crewe-Southport and it ran perfectly, apart from the gates at the level crossing not opening.

I am also having difficulties downloading the original (core) file 1. I have downloaded it 3-4 times and each time winzip says it is not valid. Could you please check this?

Thanks,

Ryan
