Any plans for a 306?
I was just wondering as the 506 was created some time ago now & that in original condition they were externally identical if anyone was planning moving the panto & guards compartments to the middle trailer building the panto well upto roof level & fitting a headcode display o create a 306??

Yes I'd like one, I asked the 506 author a while back and he said he'd look into it..not sure what's happening about that though.
I think the older GE units really need covering now..I know the 305/8 units are on a list, plus the 313/315's are being done by Dan Wilkie but for me the 309 is a must have, I've posted along with one or two others for this but noone seems interested.

Yeah I am one of them thats agreeing we are about due for some 309's, I noticed from my poll on this thread thst no one seems interested in a 309! I just cant understand it, its like the failed attempt to preserve one the NRM should have claimed one for the collection but didnt, the first EMU passed for 100MPH how much more important can you get???40058 wrote:Yes I'd like one, I asked the 506 author a while back and he said he'd look into it..not sure what's happening about that though.

Plus the fact it used to have the very unique (I think) curved glass windows on the cab!

Class 306
Hi
I'm very new at modelling...but have had a few reasonable? succeses recently...So I'll give it a bash.
Have had a quick look at the EMU database for reference...and I think the easiest way would be to alter the 506 Driving car to be the centre car and use 2 x rear cars....and then the centre car ?
It will take me a couple of days...but if your interested leave your name here and I'll let you know how I've faired.
Cheers
Bill
