Yep, looks like we have a rising star. Texturing gets easier with time, especially as you build up a texture library.

There are several series of book on Stations - I've got one on the Southern country stations of the SECR from my local library - Many contain station and auxilliary building drawings.

try searching on the dewey decimal number 625.18 in the library catalogue...

Any suggested reading on Midlands/north stations would be nice, living in the USA some photoreal is out of the question so a book with drawings is always the best option :)

Any suggestions?

Oh By the way here is a little tip for TSM Users, if you texture your model and it looks good in TSM's picture window then you can be assured it will look superb in the sim!

Try 'Through Limestone Hills' by W. Hudson, ISBN 0860932176, which is a rather excellent pictorial and drawing record of Midland Railway architecture in the Peak district; 'A history of North Eastern Railway Architecture' vols 1 & 2 by Bill Fawcett; 'The Stainmore and Eden Valley Railway' by P Walton, published by OPC, ISBN 0860933067 but out of print now (very lavishly filled with line drawings and photos of NER stations); also out of print is 'A historical survey of LMS stations' by R Preston Hendry and R Powell Hendry published by OPC in 2 vols 1982 and 1986, ISBNs 0860931684 and 086093330X respectively; and lastly - and yet again out of print - 'A pictorial record of LMS architecture' by V R Anderson and G K Fox, also published by OPC (1981), ISBN 0806930831

For references to specific stations in books, there is a useful website at http://www.mulehouse.demon.co.uk/stations/ which has a gazetteer of British stations showing what books there is an illustration in.

Hope that helps

I would suggest the North Midland Portrait of a famous route.... (3 books)

Leeds to Derby they cover.

Also through Limestone Hills. :)
