As someone whom has just found this site and am very interested in subscribing, I'm very dubious about doing that now. I've tried to subscribe but get the error as was mentioned earlier in this topic. I've read the response and hopefully it will be back up and running soon.

However with problems like this it raises doubt's as to whether it's going to be a case of taking my money and run and more so whether my credit card details will be secure! I've used a company before whom took my subscription easily enough but were very, very slow in suppling me with what I subscribed for plus contacting was impossible.

How can I be sure that this isn't a rip off??

p.s. I hope it isn't (fingers crossed) as the site is brilliant.

Sorry folks, it's just an unfortunate problem of bad timing and things going all haywire. Everything WILL be corrected.

If you have made a subscription and believe money has been taken out of your account but you have not received the subscription, please email me (matt@uktrainsim.com) and I will verify all the details and get your subscription applied manually.

Steve is due back from his vacation today and hopefully will be able to rectify the problem with the script.

What happened...

Steve went on vacation to Finland, previously, albeit slowly with a modem, he'd had no problem doing work - this time however he's killed three modems and the best he was able to achieve with the one that survived was 19200bps connect - he was upgrading the subscription and cd ordering system (it's all the same code) and while it worked fine on his local machine, when he uploaded it happy that it was working fine it boiled over and died when on the live box. His internet connection then got even worse and he was unable to fix it before he went offline to begin the journey home.

I don't think it's a big problem to fix however and as I say, everyone WILL get their subscriptions applied and nobody will lose out. Subscriptions will also be start-dated from when you receive them of course, NOT from when you paid for them, so you won't be short changed.

Once again, if you have done the above and believe a payment has gone out but you have not received the subscription then please email me and I will try and chase it up and fix it manually. If you have not - please do not take the above as an invitation to go ahead and do it because I cannot guarantee my online time while I'm on vacation (which I am at the moment) and given that in a day or so Steve should have the problem fixed anyway, you're better off waiting.

Please accept my apologies for this.

Matt.

essexDJ, you can see under my name how long I've been a member here, I've been premium all the time, and have bought time in advance such that my subs won't run out until xmas eve 2006!

Does that give you confidence?

(I admit I was wary at first, just went for a month's worth. It doesn't harm to be cautious, but don't be paranoid! :) )

Thanks for the reply asalmon. I'll give the month thing a go.

That other company that conned alot of people was surprising as they had been running for 5 years, was in industry mags and was backed by BEDA (governing body of the nightclub and bar industry) and every since myself and many others don't do business with any company that can't or is difficult to contact.

I'll give my verdict very soon 8)

Good news is that I have made a payment but that error screen came up. I've forwarded the error screen on together with the other info and fingers crossed I'll be up and running. It's been a long slog but were getting there 8)

Just adding this that it's all gone through and up and running!! :D

It's a pity though that I have to go to work now :( but rest assured I'll be back! 8)

OK, I'm on it guys, sorry for the problems and yes, as Matt said, if you have had any subscriptions fail please forward me a copy of your worldpay email so I can track everything down and manually apply your subs

Hi all -
I had sunk into the depths of despair like others this past week , my subscription had run out , and various computer problems had left me with an empty hard drive .. with of course .. NO STOCK !!!
Obviously , I have been keener than most to put things back to some kind of normal , and I can proudly confirm that this evening , the subs screen worked a treat !!
Well done for the maintainance !!!

Hi Andy,
I went through everything that was in my Inbox yesterday and fixed up everyone that was in there. Unfortunately yours didn't appear to be there as I don't remember your username at all.

Could you resend your request and I'll get it sorted for you. Send it to me directly is the best answer or make sure you put [ASI-refSteve] as the subject if you send it to support :) (include the square brackets)

Regards,
Steve
